Wanted to let you know what a difference the training and credentials that I received from your school has made in helping me land a bartender position at the Youngstown Convocation Center. The Boston Culinary Group, a national Food & Beverage Consulting Firm that was responsible for the hiring of personnel for the center, immediately recognized my credentials that I presented from your
Professional Bartender School, the TIPS, Wine Academy and Showcase Flair-Bartender Programs. The interviewer noted that they were primarily interested in hiring only licensed, certified people to work in the bar and lounge areas because of liability insurance reasons. I was hired immediately, and despite it being my first job, I was assigned to work the VIP Room. Well, as they say, it’s all history from there. I performed well enough that someone who was opening up a nightclub in the area noticed and offered me another job with even greater income potential. I declined the offer, because I’m heading south shortly to Florida or the Carolinas. There’s even more money to be made there with all the tourists that frequent the area. And with so many bar establishments, I’ll have an opportunity to move around and move up even faster. Thanks a lot and feel free to use me as a reference.
